The European Union Commission has said, it seeks to propose a regime which will ensure that perpetrators of human rights violations around the world will be sanctioned.
The President of EU commission, Ursula von de Leyen disclosed this on October 20,2020 and said that, “We need to stand up for human rights and freedoms which are under attack.”
The Nigerian youth have been protesting against Special anti-robbery squad, police brutality and bad governance in the country. However, many of the peaceful protesters have been killed, injured by the Nigerian security team.
Decrying the several cases of protesters being beaten or imprisoned in nations where citizens are fighting for their freedoms.
