The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) said it has opened another official bank account for the movement after shutting down its account in the United States of America over suspected fraud
The Head of Directorate Of State, Chika Edoziem in statement last week had said IPOB closed the account after it received a report from the bank that some “yet to be identified persons” accused it of fraudulently operating the account.
Meanwhile, Chika Edoziem in a new statement titled, ‘Memo to IPOB Worldwide’ said a new account has been opened in place of the closed account.
He directed members of the movement across the globe to start making use of the new account.
Edoziem added that the details of the account will be shortly made available to all Continental Reps and National Coordinators of the movement.
However, members of the movement in the United States of America were also instructed to take particular note of the new development and act accordingly.
It reads, “Sequel to the memo from the Directorate Of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) dated july 19 2021, and written in accordance with the instruction from the highest command of this great movement, DOS wish to inform the IPOB world wide that a new account has now been opened in place of the closed account
“Flowing from this development therefore, all IPOB families world wide are hereby directed to begin to make use of this new account as our leader Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu instructed.
“The IPOB USA family should take particular note of this development and act accordingly
“The new account information will shortly be made available to all Continental Reps for onward distribution to National Coordinators
