Protests have erupted in three states of the federation, following the mysterious death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
The young Nigerian youths are demanding justice and answers to what happened to the artist.
Mohbad died last Tuesday and was buried on Wednesday in Ikorodu. His death has attracted concerns, as some accused the owner of Marlian Records and singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley of having hand in his sudden death.
Though, no evidence yet has directly nailed Naira Marley as the killer of Mohbad but clips which have gone viral on social media after the artist’s death have done little to spare the singer from the wrath of the majority of grieving music fans, who are calling for thorough investigation.
Renowned artistes have taken to social media to join in demanding justice for the late music sensation.
Meanwhile, in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, protests began in the Panseke area of the State, where a group of youths dressed in mourning attire, donning black garments, gathered at the skating ground arena. They held placards adorned with messages such as #JusticeForMohbad and #WhoTurnedOffTheLight, expressing their outrage over the tragic loss.
Also in Ikorodu, Lagos State, another group of passionate youths took to the streets to voice their demands for justice for Mohbad. Their protest was accompanied by placards bearing the poignant message, “We will not accept this; justice for Mohbad.”
Similarly in Effurun Road, Warri Delta State, the call for justice echoed even further as youths gathered to demand answers regarding Mohbad’s untimely demise.
However, as part of efforts to unravel the mysterious circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, the Lagos State Police Command inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team, underscoring the importance of uncovering the truth behind this tragic incident.
As the protests continue to gather momentum across these states, the demand for justice for Mohbad remains unwavering, with many hoping that the investigations will provide clarity and closure to a grieving community of fans and supporters.
