Soldiers gun down suspected IPOB fighters in Anambra | NN NEWS

Gunmen suspected to be sympathisers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have lost their lives in a bloody encounter with soldiers on patrol duty in Ihiala, Anambra State. The clash took place yesterday, Monday, February 7, 2022.

Photos of the deadly encounter seen by News Express show the dead bodies of two gunmen riddled with bullets, which also shattered their operational van.

The body of what appeared to be a third gunman was seen in a balluet-shattered van.

“They were gunned down in Ihiala today in a fight with soldiers,” a top source told News Express last night.

Both the vans and the ground where the battle took place were soaked with red blood.

A video recording of the incident was no less gory.

News Express is however unable to publish the gory photos as it has a policy of not publishing dead bodies.

The Anambra State Police Command had yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
